SUP 08 2025 AIRSPACE RESTRICTIONS

1 INTRODUCTION

The NATO Summit 2025 (NS25) will be hosted in The Hague on 24 and 25 June 2025. As a result, several airspaces in the Amsterdam FIR will be closed or restricted within the period 18 June up to and including 27 June 2025.
Furthermore, additional requirements apply for all VFR flights in the Amsterdam FIR, as well as local restrictions for airports Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (EHAM), Rotterdam The Hague Airport (EHRD), Eindhoven Airport (EHEH) and Lelystad Airport (EHLE).

The information in this supplement can be subject to change. Any changes will be published in due course by NOTAM.

2 AIRSPACE RESTRICTIONS

Note 1: part of NS Den Haag 50 is situated in the Brussels FIR. For more information consult aeronautical information Belgium.
Note 2: when NS Den Haag 50 is active, the restrictions of NS Den Haag 50 will apply within the western part of NS Eindhoven.

NS Eindhoven Consists of the Eindhoven CTR and Eindhoven TMAs 1, 2, 3 and 4 (see AIP EHEH AD 2.17 and ENR 2.1).	See AIP EHEH AD 2.17 and ENR 2.1	Active from 23 JUN 1300 UTC to 25 JUN 2159 UTC. Prohibited for all traffic (incl. Schiphol CTR Consists of the Schiphol CTR (see AIP EHAM AD 2.17).	See AIP EHAM AD 2.17	Active from 23 JUN 1300 UTC to 25 JUN 2159 UTC. Prohibited for all UAS, RPAS, model aircraft, unmanned free balloons, cable balloons and parachutes, except: Flights related to the NS25; Police flights; Customs and fire department flights after coordination with the national police.
NS Rotterdam 1.55 Circle, radius 1.55 NM, centre 515727N 0042630E.	1500 FT AMSL GND	Active from 23 JUN 1300 UTC to 25 JUN 2159 UTC. Prohibited for all UAS, RPAS, model aircraft, unmanned free balloons, cable balloons and parachutes, except: Flights related to the NS25; Police flights; Customs and fire department flights after coordination with the national police. Airspace classification: GND - 1500 FT AMSL class C
RMZ Lelystad Lateral limits as Lelystad CTR 1 and CTR 2 (see AIP EHLE AD 2.17).		Active from 23 JUN 1300 UTC to 25 JUN 2159 UTC. Within the RMZ only flight information service is provided by Dutch Mil Info. If a HEMS or donor flight wants to depart from or land at Lelystad Airport, with authorization of the airport, the CTR (with airspace classification C) will temporarily be reinstalled by NOTAM and ATS will then be provided by Lelystad TWR.

3 ATS ROUTES

The following ATS routes are closed below FL 245 during the activation of NS Den Haag 9:

T601 between NAVPI and OKIDU;
L980 between EKROS and VALKO;
N873 between EKROS and DOFMU.

4 AMSTERDAM/Schiphol (EHAM)

Schiphol is the designated airport for arrival and departure of NS25 delegations. Only scheduled IFR traffic operated by an airline (EXC business aviation) is permitted, with PPR by the government of the Netherlands.
RWY 18R/36L will not be available from 21 JUN 2100 UTC to 27 JUN 0859 UTC.
The runway will be used for parking State aircraft. Intermediate holding position VM on TWY V marks the separation between regular operations and the area reserved for NATO operations.
Inbounds shall only be planned via IAF RIVER if departing from Brussels (EBBR), Strasbourg (LFST), Luxembourg (ELLX), Paris-Orly (LFPO) or Paris Charles de Gaulle (LFPG). Flights will be vectored around NS Den Haag 9.
Schiphol is not available as an alternate destination, except for State aircraft for NS25 from 23 JUN 1300 UTC to 25 JUN 2159 UTC.
The total traffic handling capacity of Schiphol will be reduced during NS25. For details see https://slotcoordination.nl/addendum-capacity-declaration-ams-s25/.
The following SIDs are not available during the activation of NS Den Haag 9:
- RWY 09: VALKO5M
- RWY 18C: DENAG6X
- RWY 18L: VALKO5E
- RWY 22: VALKO3G
- RWY 24: VALKO3S
Additionally, outbound flights cannot be planned via points VALKO and IDRID during the activation of NS Den Haag 9.
RWY 09/27 is not available due to maintenance of the runway. Associated with that closure, the take-off distance available on RWY 18L is reduced (no take-off from E6) and landing distance available for RWY 36R is reduced (last exit is E4). Additionally, only RNP approaches are available on RWY 36R.
TWY B is closed for maintenance between A15 and A19, as are TWYs N, E7 and E8.
Additional information about the ground operation at Schiphol Airport will be published in due course by NOTAM.

5 ROTTERDAM/Rotterdam (EHRD)

Only scheduled IFR traffic operated by an airline (EXC business aviation) is permitted, with PPR by government of the Netherlands.
Rotterdam is not available as an alternate destination, except for State aircraft for NS25.
The following SIDs are not available during the activation of NS Den Haag 9:
- RWY 06: SOMEL2A, TULIP4A.
- RWY24: ANDIK2B, ARNEM3B, COA2B, INKET2B, NEPTU2B, LUNIX2B, SOMEL2B, TULIP3B, WOODY2B.
All departing flights can expect alternative departure instructions from ATC.

6 EINDHOVEN/Eindhoven (EHEH)

Eindhoven Airport will be open during regular published hours for scheduled IFR traffic operated by an airline (EXC business aviation), with PPR by government of the Netherlands.
Military transport, HEMS/SAR and coast guard operations are exempted from restrictions.
Eindhoven is not available as an alternate destination, except for State aircraft for NS25.

7 LELYSTAD/Lelystad (EHLE)

During the activation of NS Den Haag 50 the Lelystad CTRs 1 and 2 are defined as an RMZ with airspace classification G. Within the RMZ only flight information service is provided by Dutch Mil Info.
When NS Den Haag 50 is active the associated restrictions apply to the RMZ within NS Den Haag 50.
If a HEMS or donor flight wants to depart from or land at Lelystad Airport (approved by the airport) the CTR (with airspace classification C) will temporarily be reinstalled by NOTAM and ATS will then be provided by Lelystad TWR.

8 VFR FLIGHTS

All VFR flights in the Amsterdam FIR, including flights originating from outside the Amsterdam FIR, within the period 23 JUN 1300 UTC to 25 JUN 2159 UTC shall:

submit a flight plan at least 24 hours before estimated off-block time (EOBT). This flight plan shall contain:
- the intended route in item 15;
- in case of a local circuit training flight, a remark “local circuit training flight” in item 18.
maintain two-way radio communication with the appropriate ATS unit.
use a transponder at all altitudes (including below 1200 FT).

Night VFR flights are prohibited from 23 JUN 1300 UTC to 25 JUN 2159 UTC.

9 PRIOR PERMISSION REQUIRED (PPR)

The government authorities will contact the aircraft operators and essential flights who qualify for PPR.
